The Honda Jazz Hybrid, the first model in the Honda product range bearing the e: HEV logo, and the new member of the family, the Crosstar version, will go on sale in Turkey on June 5, 2021. The new Honda Jazz and Honda Jazz Crosstar, which are offered for sale with a 2-motor hybrid powertrain system, aim to strengthen their claim in the segment with the driving sensation closest to an electric vehicle. Honda Turkey President Takuya Tsumura stated that the first model bearing the e: HEV logo under the brand created within the scope of Honda’s ‘Electric Vision Strategy’ was the Jazz. Stating that Honda will increase the range of electric and fuel cell electric vehicles in order to achieve its carbon-free goal as the responsibility of an automobile manufacturer, President Tsumura evaluated the developments as follows;
“Despite all the difficulties experienced in the recent period, I am happy to state that we have grown and made many improvements in all our operations as a result of the correct strategy and cooperation of our dealers in 2020. I can say that 2021 will be a year in which Honda will innovate under the concept of “Future with Honda” and further strengthen its position in the market. In this context, we will accelerate digitalization efforts and revise software and hardware in all our operations reaching our customers. “
Jazz, Honda’s first step
Underlining that Honda focuses on mobility, robotics and energy solutions and produces high added value products for consumers in this direction, Honda Turkey Deputy General Manager Bülent Kılıçer stated that the new Honda Jazz is an important step in this way. Reminding that they presented the first hybrid car in Turkey with the Civic Hybrid model in 2007, Kılıçer stated that they introduced the Sport Hybrid CR-Z, the second hybrid model, to the customers in 2011. Lastly, Kılıçer stated that they added the CR-V Hybrid to its product range in 2019, and said, “Honda, which is a pioneer in the sector in hybrid technology, will offer the hybrid model of the HR-V in 2021 to the market, where it has raised its target again with the Jazz. With our Jazz and HR-V hybrid models that we will put on the market in 2021, we will increase our total hybrid car sales to 15 percent of all our sales in 2022. ”E: Honda Jazz Executive, renewed with HEV hybrid technology, is 310 thousand TL and Honda Jazz Crosstar Executive is 320 thousand TL.
