Under the Paris Agreement, to support its goal of limiting global warming to levels below 1.5 degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial levels, Renault Trucks has decided to gradually electrify its fleet to carbon-free within 30 years. The lifetime of the trucks is at least ten years. All trucks manufactured by 2040 are expected to be operating without fossil fuel. Electric battery and fuel cell electric vehicles will be critical to complete this major transformation towards carbon-free transport.
A ZE Tractor and construction site versions
The range of Renault Trucks D ZE, D Wide ZE and Renault Trucks Master ZE meets all requirements for urban transport, delivery, distribution and waste collection. However, the brand aims to expand vehicle electrification to cover all areas of use. As of 2023, the necessary preparations for the marketing of a ZE tractor that will meet the regional and inter-regional transportation needs are continuing. As of this date, an all-electric model designed for the urban construction site will also be available. In the second half of the current decade, Renault Trucks will offer a range of hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks specifically for heavy and demanding long-haul operations.
