Opel shared the first images of the sixth generation of its best-selling model, Astra. The completely renewed Astra stands out as the first hatchback model of Opel, which is interpreted with a bold and pure design philosophy after Mokka, Crossland and Grandland.

The new Astra is also electrified for the first time with versions with rechargeable hybrid technology. In the interior of the new Astra, which has a more dynamic look with the Opel Visor, which is the new face and basic exterior design element of the brand, the fully digital Pure Panel draws attention with its large screens and intuitive controls. Equipped with the latest Intelli-Lux LED® Pixel Headlight technology with 168 LED cells, the new Astra features 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission versions, efficient diesel and gasoline engines, and rich customization options. The new Opel Astra will begin to hit the roads in Turkey in 2022.
Lighting is different

German automotive manufacturer Opel has completely renewed the Astra, whose success story goes back to the legendary Kadette 30 years ago, and which holds the title of being its best-selling model. The sixth generation Astra is the first hatchback model to be interpreted with Opel’s bold and pure design philosophy, following the SUV models Mokka, Crossland and Grandland. The German manufacturer, which opened a whole new page with the new Astra, also announced the rechargeable hybrid versions of the compact model, which can be preferred with two different performance levels. Thus, Astra switched to electric for the first time with its rechargeable hybrid technology.

The new Astra, which has a more dynamic look with the Opel Visor, the new face of the brand and its basic exterior design element, draws attention with its large screens and intuitive controls, and the fully digital Pure Panel.

Equipped with the latest Intelli-Lux LED® Pixel Headlight technology with 168 LED cells, the new Astra features 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic transmission versions, efficient diesel and gasoline engines, and rich customization options. Opel, which designed and developed the new Astra at its headquarters in Rüsselsheim, will start production of the model in the fall and we will see the new Astra on the roads of Turkey in 2022.

New lightning is born

Evaluating the new Astra, Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller said, “With the new Astra, a new Lightning is born. The new model opens the doors of a new era with its impressive design, leading technologies in its class, electric and highly efficient engine options with the lowest possible emissions.

The new Astra has been designed with great precision down to the smallest detail. “We are confident that the next-generation Astra will continue to be our brand’s best-selling model and has everything it takes to attract many new customers to our brand.”
