Born from the merger of two groups with strong backgrounds in the automotive world, Stellantis ranked first among automobile manufacturers with a market share of 23.6% in the first quarter of 2021. During this period, a moderate growth of 3.8% was recorded in the European general market. In this growth, Stellantis recorded a 10.8% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, with 854,151 vehicles recorded in the European market of 3,619,749 vehicles. Stellantis’ performance among brands was also generally evaluated positively. Stellantis is also the leader of the European light commercial vehicle market, with a share of 34.3%, with more than 184,000 vehicles registered in the first quarter of 2021.
Looking at the brands and models under the Stellantis roof; In the first quarter of 2021, the Peugeot 208 became the leader of the “Europe’s Top 10 Cars” ranking. Citroen C3 and Peugeot 2008 belonging to Stellantis were also included in the list. In the city vehicle (A) segment, Fiat Panda and New 500 maintained their leadership with a ratio of over 38%. With the European market turning more towards electric vehicles, the Peugeot 208 and New Fiat 500 were among the top 3 electric vehicles in their segments: + 22.1% in Austria, + 17.6% in France, + 4% in Germany, 3 and + 27.2% in Italy, the market is growing in almost all major European countries. As Stellantis market shares; 25.2% in Belgium, 37.7% in France, 28.8% in Greece, 16.9% in Hungary, 40.7% in Lithuania, 41.3% in Italy, Portugal ‘ continues to be the market leader with 34.3% and 28.9% in Spain.
