Opel unveiled its Manta GSe. The legendary Manta, which was introduced to the market more than half a century ago with its four-cylinder gasoline engine and dragged large masses after it, is once again launched today as the first ElektroMOD model. While the emission-free electric motor and technology of the new Manta GSe ElektroMOD meet the needs of the age and the future, its interior-exterior design details and comfort features bring the pleasure of driving to a higher level. Manta GSe symbolizes the point where Opel tradition meets the future, and Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller said, “Manta GSe reveals our enthusiasm for producing cars as Opel.
New Manta GSe Electromod; After the first generation Manta GT / E with 77 kW and 105 HP, produced in 1974 and 1975, it stands out as the most powerful Manta ever produced by the Opel factory. The 2021 model Manta GSe, which has an electromotor with 108 kW / 147 HP power, offers a maximum torque of 255 Nm from the first moment of movement. Manta drivers can change the original four-speed gearbox manually, as well as use the option to drive automatically only after shifting into fourth gear. Manta GSe Electromod; As a classic sports car with an innovative and modernized powertrain, it transfers its power seamlessly to the rear wheels.
Offers 200 km range
The lithium-ion battery of the new Manta GSe with a capacity of 31 kWh provides an average range of 200 kilometers. Like the mass-produced Opel Corsa-e and Opel Mokka-e models, the Manta GSe can recover braking energy and store this energy in the battery thanks to regenerative braking.
Normal charging is carried out with a 9.0 kW integrated charger for single-phase and three-phase AC charging (alternating current from the grid). This feature means that Manta’s battery can be fully charged in less than 4 hours.
