Stating that they are an exemplary factory within the scope of WCM (World Class Production) in occupational health and safety, TOFAŞ CEO Cengiz Eroldu said, “With this responsibility, we update our occupational health and safety rules according to pandemic requirements, and ensure the lives of our employees with many applications that are quickly put into operation such as protective measures and remote working. $125 million investment

In his statement in the “Sustainability Report”, Eroldu said that they are among the leading industrial establishments of our country with 250 thousand production, 118 thousand units of export and 93 percent domestic production share in domestic market sales.

“TOFAŞ increased its market share to 18.4 percent in 2020 with the brands Fiat, Fiat Professional, Alfa Romeo, Jeep®, Ferrari and Maserati, which it represents in the Turkish automobile and light commercial vehicle market, by selling 142 thousand units. Fiat retained its top position in total sales of automobiles and light commercial vehicles in 2020. The Egea family was renewed with an investment of 225 million USD and the Cross model was added to the family. Realizing 13 percent of Turkey’s automotive exports, Tofaş is also among the top 10 industrial establishments of our country.”

Eroldu also said that within the scope of digital transformation, which is indispensable for the future of production, thanks to smart factory applications and algorithms developed by engineers, the production capacity of the factory in Bursa has been increased and they have made the assembly lines more efficient.
