Japanese auto giant Toyota broke a new record by increasing its global vehicle sales by 44.2 percent in March compared to the same period last year.
The updated balance sheet data of the company revealed that as a result of the increasing demand in foreign markets, the negative effects of the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) on the economy began to disappear.
Accordingly, Toyota sold 982 thousand 912 vehicles on a global basis in March. This sales rate was recorded as a new vehicle sales record on a monthly basis.
The company’s sales in January-March 2021 increased by 19.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. During this period, an increase of 10 percent was aimed.
Toyota’s overseas sales rose to a new record 791,568 after strong demand for sports off-road vehicles and hybrid cars in the US and for the Corolla Sedan model in China.
While overseas sales increased by 57.8 percent in March compared to the same period of the previous year, 191,344 vehicles were sold in Japan with an increase of 6.4 percent.
