The C40 Recharge has all the advantages of an SUV, with a closer and more stylish design. The C40, produced on the CMA vehicle platform, is the first Volvo model in history to be designed purely electrically. Following the launch of the XC40 Recharge and now the C40 Recharge, Volvo Cars will launch several more electric models in the coming years. The company aims that by 2025, 50 percent of its global sales volume will be fully electric cars and the remainder will be hybrid models. In 2030, all cars sold will be fully electric.

The rear of the C40 Recharge has a striking design that matches the lower roofline, while the new front design offers a new face for electric Volvos and the headlights with the latest pixel technology stand out. Inside, the C40 Recharge provides a high seating position preferred by many Volvo drivers, and comes with a range of model-specific colors and decor options.
The C40 is also the first Volvo model to have no leather material inside. Like the XC40 Recharge, the C40 Recharge features one of the best infotainment systems on the market, developed in partnership with Google and based on the Android operating system. It offers consumers built-in Google apps and services such as Google Maps, Google Assistant and Google Play Store *.
The unlimited data feature on the C40 Recharge provides a superior connection, while software updates can be done wirelessly. This Propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and the other on the rear axle, that can be fast-charged up to 80 percent in approximately 40 minutes, powered by a 78kWh battery *. The estimated range that is expected to improve over time with wireless software updates is approximately 420 km.
